La Paz/Disembark/Los Angeles – Day 8

Ships
Today is the last day of our exploration of the Gulf of California. This morning we arrived in La Paz, the capital city of Baja California Sur.

Before we went to breakfast we put our luggage in the passage way outside our room so during breakfast, the crew could take it to the dock for loading into the buses.

Breakfast was Choice of Yogurts, Hot and Cold Cereals, Fresh Fruits, Fruit Juices, Freshly Baked Muffins AND Chef’s Choice Scrambled Eggs, French Toast, Bacon and Sausage.

After breakfast we returned to our cabins to pick up our “carry on” luggage and at 8:30 a.m. disembarked the ship.

Our luggage was loaded into the buses by the stevedores also known as the ship's staff and naturalists.

As we disembarked the ship the Captain and Expedition Leader wished safe travels and as soon as we left the dock the ship's crew, staff and naturalists returned to the ship to prepare it for the next on slot on passengers that will arrive this afternoon.

Our next stop was the Serpentarium

Our next stop was the Serpentarium a mostly open-air natural museum offers plenty of opportunities to observe various species of reptiles that inhabit the region's ecosystem, including snakes, turtles, iguanas, lizards, and crocodiles. We all agreed that the demonstration brought us a close the reptiles as any of us wanted to get.

From the Serpentarium we went by bus to El Aljibe Restaurant for lunch. After a pleasant buffet lunch we went to the La Paz Airport for the Alaska Airlines charter to Los Angeles.
